In this post, we have no other way than to be much more technical. Thus, you will be able to consult in a quicker and simpler way these tables that we show you below. But what do they contain? It is nothing more and nothing less than the measurements of the shaft, which refers to the height and the calf area, of all the available sizes. First and foremost, an important aspect about the sizes! When you see that on our website we have the size 36 of the Hunter wellies available, it actually means that it is the size 35/36. And the exactly same thing occurs with the size 40, which is really 40/41.

How do you measure the height of the shaft? You will see that just above the heel there is a piece of natural rubber that stands out. This is exactly the point where you start and then go up, thus reaching the top.

You should also know that the measurement that we refer as Calf Area corresponds to the interior perimeter of the upper part of the shaft. Of course, all the mentioned measurements are in centimetres.

We are going to start with this classic tall model that has the side buckle. This buckle allows a slight adjustment, but its role is mainly decorative. Perhaps this is the model with which you should take the measurements more into account, to see if they adapt to you.

ORIGINAL BACK ADJUSTABLE

They are the ones that allow you more amplitude of adjustment. As you know, underneath their back buckle, they have an extra piece of thinner natural rubber. It is presented in a V shape and stays carefully folded inside.

Because of that, you will see two measurements in the calf area column. The first one corresponds to the least amplitude possible, with the buckle more fastened, while the second one is the most ample measurement that they allow. You will be able to see for yourself that all the sizes differ in 12 cm.
