Though, not all can be bad, right? That’s why today we bring you exciting news! Three new brands have joined the EscapeShoes family and we’re thrilled to show you which ones they are! Geox

A very well-known Italian brand, it was founded in 1995 by Mario Polegato. The name came up from the junction between the word geo (earth) and x (letter that symbolizes technology). The idea for these shoes came to be when Mario was hiking in Reno (USA) and his feet started to sweat a lot due to the immense heat, so he had the idea of pocking some holes in the sole with a knife so that his feet could “breathe”. When he returned from his trip, Mario decided to implement this idea into insoles thus creating the first “breathable shoes”.

The Geox sole is divided into three parts: a perforated outsole, a perforated insole and a third part between the two called “the membrane pervious to condensation yet waterproof”. It allows sweat to go out without water coming in. It’s amazing, don’t you think so?
