New Dkode Collection 2015 2016

As it’s per usual, the new Dkode collection 2015 comes full of feminine and elegant models that will surprise you! And the element that caught our eye the most was the dominance of contrasts, either of colour or texture. And what does this do? It creates innovative designs with which we fall in love at first sight! Do you want to see for yourself? Then, read our new post on the EscapeShoes blog!

Personally, when I think of Dkode, words like sophistication, elegance and glamour are the ones that usually come to mind. However, quality and comfort are also factors that are always included in its shoes. If you don’t believe me it’s because you never had the opportunity to try one of its fantastic models! If that’s the case, now is the best time to buy your Dkode online at EscapeShoes, because the new autumn / winter collection 2015 has arrived!

Have you already looked at all the new models that we have available? Honestly, when I think that I’ve found one that I like, I find another one that I like even more! Another aspect that I noticed as I looked at this collection was the dominance of contrasts. What does this mean? It means that, one way or another, the majority of its shoes present some type of contrast, either of colour, textures or both simultaneously. And it’s on that that we’ll focus on throughout today’s post. With that in mind, it’ll be divided into the following parts:

  •          Colour contrasts
  •          Texture contrasts
  •          Colour and texture contrasts

As you can see, the first section focus more on our sight, while the other focus on our touch and also depends on the type of material used to make each Dkode model. However, you can be sure that, no matter the type of contrast, these shoes will make your look stand out wherever you may go!

Colour contrasts

As mentioned before, colour contrasts are easily perceptible through our sight. I.e. while you look at a pair of shoes, either in a photo or in your own hands, it’s easy to see if it presents more than one colour or if it’s monochrome. However, some colour contrasts are stronger than others. For example, when you have two very similar colours, the contrast is more discreet, but when they are completely different, the contrast is more eye-catching.

And since in this new Dkode collection you can find one or the other, we decided to show you two different models, so that you can see this distinction of colour contrasts with your very own eyes:

As you look at the first photo, you may be wondering where the colour contrast is, since at first glance it appears just a pair of dark brown ankle boots and their contrast is mainly on the heel. There, it’s possible to see that these Carson ankle boots have a second layer of leather in an even darker shade of brown, called Testa di Moro by the brand. It’s a creative and discreet touch to differentiate the shoes, don’t you think so? And the best of all is that both shades of brown look great with any colour!

On the other hand, the Cary Ochre ankle boots also present two different shades of brown, being one a dark brown similar to the one of the previous model. However, this dark brown contrasts with the ochre on the toecap and tongue, which presents a slight touch of mustard yellow, thus giving it a lighter shade. Hence, their colour contrast is more apparent!

Something that you may have noticed between these two models is an element that is very in fashion this season. It’s the fringes that they have on one side! It’s certainly a trend that has come to stay and gives a relaxed touch to each one of these pairs of ankle boots.

Texture contrasts

Now, we go to the type of contrast that can only be appreciated when you have the shoes in your hands, which is the texture contrast. However, you may have a better idea if you take into consideration that the main materials that make this contrast in shoes is leather and suede. As you must know, leather usually has a smoother surface, while the suede is more velvety and textured.

In the majority of Dkode shoes that present this type of contrast, there is a type of leather that is more dominant. However, both have the same guarantee of durability and quality!

As you compare the two models, it’s possible to notice that they present different styles, in which the ankle boots in the first photo have a more relaxed and urban style and the second ankle boots have a more elegant and sophisticated design.

At first glance, the Sigal Deep Navy seem black, right? Well, you’re wrong! In fact, they’re in a very dark shade of blue, but present some black details. And where is that texture contrast? You just need to look at their shaft! You can see that the top of the shaft is folded downwards, thus revealing their greenish dark blue suede, which contrasts with the smooth leather that the rest of the shoes are made of. Do you want to know a secret? The part at the front that is folded can be unfolded upwards, by unfastening their side buckle. Hence, you’ll have a completely different look! On the other hand, the same does not happen with the suede piece at the back.

In contrast, the Carter Ochre ankle boots are mostly made of suede, with a piece of smooth leather on the heel, thus making the texture contrast. This same type of leather can also be found on the opening of the shoes, in a thin strip, for a perfect finish. Another detail that you may have noticed is their creases that they present at the front. If you’re an unconditional fan of fashion, then you must know that creases are always a trend year after year. Besides, this type of shoes looks great with skinny trousers, but I also imagine them with skirts and dresses, for an even more feminine look.

Colour and texture contrasts

In this part, we’ll show you the shoes that have the best of both worlds, i.e. both colour and texture contrasts. And I also admit the two models below are two of my favourites! Do you wish to know which ones are they? Then, let’s us not waste any more time!

Dkode is known, among other things, for creating new and original versions of the Oxford shoes, being able to combine both a classic and modern style. And this is no exception! The Sirian Testa di Moro present a different touch, with their tongue at the front with some small fringes at the bottom. Once again, there are two different shades of brown, one of which is a delicious dark chocolate brown, covering the majority of the shoes, and the other, a shade of taupe, i.e. a mix between light grey and beige, on the tongue and sides, near the opening. These two colours also distinguish the two types of leather used while making them: leather and suede. As you can see for yourself, the Testa di Moro piece has a smooth surface and the taupe parts have a velvety and soft touch.

In many aspects, the Morven Ochre share some similarities with the Cary ankle boots that we showed you previously. They’re both high heeled, have laces and present a colour contrast between ochre and dark brown. However, the shade of dark brown in these Dkode ankle boots is in fact Testa di Moro, in an almost black shade. And, on the other hand, you can see their ochre suede, which intertwines with the smooth leather. This way, it evokes an effect that is as pleasant at first glance as to the touch!

What did you think of these contrasts? I bet that, with all of this, you already want to place your online order at EscapeShoes, right? Before that, remember that you can find all these models, and many others, in other colours and even with different contrasts. Therefore, be a knockout wherever you may go with your very own Dkode shoes!
