Xuz 2015 – The best of this Autumn Winter!

It’s no surprise when we claim that Xuz is a brand that succeeds season after season, but that was never truer than in this autumn / winter season! Each model almost seems like it flies off our shelves, but it’s easy to see why when you see them. With the wooden clogs as base, each one of these items combines a rustic and at the same time elegant style, also complemented with elements that are always in fashion, like sequins, laces, studs and the so stylish fringes. 

However, which are the most popular and requested models from this collection? Well, in truth, practically any one matches that description, but today on the EscapeShoes blog we compiled a small sample of those that are really considered the best of the best. Before we go specifically to the selection of the best, we just wanted to note that this brand, as you must already know, frequently uses alder wood to make the soles of its shoes. And usually these wooden soles have two types of heel heights: a lower 6 cm heel and a higher 12 cm one. However, in addition of the alder wood, this Portuguese brand sometimes makes its sole of rubber, with a small resistant wooden heel. Why do we think that this clarification is pertinent? Well, because this post will exactly be divided into models with a low heel and the ones with high heel. So, do you want to see the best of the best from Xuz?

 

With low heel

If you’re an absolute fan of the brand, then you must have already seen the first ankle boots, right? Or perhaps you already bought your very own pair! They’re the irresistible Xuz Fringes Medals Brown, which, as the name itself indicates, are characterized for their fringes, on the back, and their medals, at the front on the top of the shaft. Their suede is very soft to the touch and its dark shade of greyish brown is ideal to match with a great variety of colours, for example, white, beige, black, maroon, grey, navy blue, red, pink, yellow… or even with floral or animal prints, which are so in fashion right now.

Equally made of suede, we’ve the Ankle Boots With Feather Honey on the second image. In many aspects, they share some similarities with the previous booties, since they’ve the same basic design, with the same embroidered drawing over the instep and with the traditional strip on the top of the sole carefully fixed with metallic studs. However, what in my opinion really stands out in these booties is the light shade of their suede, usually called honey by the brand, and their metallic ornament in the shape of a feather on the side, which contrasts wonderfully well with this shade of light brown. This metallic feather is fixed with two studs to a strap also made of suede, which has another similar one on the opposite side.

Regarding the third photo, we’ll not talk about much about these booties, since we already did it more extensively on our previous post about the new Xuz collection. But what you must know is that these black Fringes Medals ankle boots belong to the Black By Xuz line that, as it must be obvious, presents models in traditional black. Besides, these ankle boots have, once again, fringes and metallic medals, the same ones as the first model. Their biggest advantage is that they’re precisely black, since it allows you to match them with any colour that you can think of! And their cowboy-styled design looks great with denim clothes, like jeans or skirts, or even with shorts or a ruffle dress.

 

With high heel

Here we have a pair of boots that are ideal for the workplace, as well as for a lunch with your friends or even for a romantic date with your better half! The Xuz Jagged Brown present the classic design, which is why we initially fell in love for this brand, but with a jagged drawing that certainly catches your eye. This jagged effect is in reality due to a second layer of suede, with that tribal cut, that’s placed over the suede of which these boots are mainly made of. And, as you can see, they’ve a discreet side zipper, so that you can put them on more easily.

Personally, I like to say that the Xuz on the second photo as like a mini version of the tall beige boots with laces from last year, also a true success, in the sense that they’ve a shorter shaft, hence being called ankle boots. Like those tall boots, these Ankle Boots With Laces Honey have an extremely malleable shaft, which allows you to fold it to your liking, thanks to their side opening. Thus, you can create different looks with your new booties, depending if you have the shaft stretched or folded. And the laces that give them their name consists of straps that start on the heel, which you can see are even wider, and, as they surround the shaft with several turns, they start to narrow until they’re tied in a bow on the back.

Finally, the last ankle boots are the model that seemed that everyone wanted to have even before it reached stores. Of course we’re talking about the Xuz With 3 Bracelets Brown! They are very practical to use thanks to their side zipper and they stand out, mainly, due to their shaft, which has a rounded shape, due to the bracelets. They consist of straps that are around the shaft and have different widths and shapes among each other. Two of them can be adjusted with a metallic buckle, but one presents a snake print in shades of brown and black, while the other is made of the same suede as the booties and has small round shiny studs. The last bracelet is a thin strap through which some aged steel medals fit into and with some brownish drawings. And the best of all? All of them are removable!
