It seems like the devil isn’t the only one who wears Prada! In Taiwan, the perfect church for any woman was built, shaped like a high heel. Do you think it’s a lie? Then, you’ll quickly become a believer when you ready today’s post on the EscapeShoes blog!
With fewer people used to going to church regularly, it seems like Taiwan came up with a creative solution to encourage, at least women, to go to church more often. On the 10th, the construction of a church made entirely of glass and in the shape of a giant high heel shoe ended, after about 2 years.
Located in Ocean View Park, in Butai, Taiwan, this astonishing building clearly caught the eyes of everyone that passed by, perhaps due to the fact that this blue high heel reminds us of the iconic glass slipper from Disney’s Cinderella, both in its original animated version and in its most recent live-action film.
Measuring almost 17 meters tall and 11 meters wide, it’s been confirmed that this church will have about 100 features specifically for the female audience, including chairs for “lovers”, ideal to take romantic pictures.
Despite the numerous reports about this peculiar building, it’s still uncertain what type of church it’ll truly be, but its opening date is on February 8, 2016.

However, this was not the first time that a shoe-shaped building was made. In 1984, Mahlon Haines, who called himself “Shoe Wizard”, built in Hallam, Pennsylvania, a house in the shape of a work boot, as a way to advertise its footwear business. It’s now known as Haines Shoe House.
The living room is located in the toes, the kitchen in the heel, two bedrooms are in the ankle, and it even has an ice cream shop in the instep. That’s what I call a well-furnished boot! Furthermore, it even has a dog house with the same boot shape, for Man’s best friend!
